    jail break

I am looking at getting an Amazon Firestick to stream tv.

I see some on line that are jail broke (come with kodi installed) for about twice the price of those without Kodi. Does anyone use a Firestick and Kodi?

in addition does anyone know how the firestick compares to Roku and Apple TV and will any of these devices work reliably with a DSL LAN?

    Thanks for any any feedback.

I know this is an older thread but I'll answer what I can for anyone who may be searching for an answer to this question in the future.

No need to pay extra for a jailbroken Firestick, you can do it yourself free and fast. Just google it, and you'll be able to chose between a few different methods.

I have a Firestick, and have used a Roku from time to time. The Firestick blows the Roku away. Just way more you can do with it. I've never used Apple TV, so I can't comment on that.

The Firestick is wifi only, and the Fire TV can use wifi, or ethernet. The Fire TV will work a little better as it has more ram.

Kodi works well on the Firestick, although it is a little better on the Fire TV, or android box. Kodi cannot be installed on a Roku, and it can only be installed on the Apple TV versions 1, 2, and 4 at this time.
